Comparing Jetpack Infinite Scroll with Auto Infinite Scroll? This page breaks down the key differences and similarities so you can find the best fit for your WordPress or WooCommerce store.

Overview of Jetpack Infinite Scroll

Jetpack Infinite Scroll is a module within the Jetpack plugin suite that replaces pagination with automatic or click-triggered content loading. It hooks into WordPress's standard query loop and appends new content as the user scrolls. Being part of the broader Jetpack bundle, it comes with the overhead of the entire Jetpack framework rather than operating as a standalone feature.

How Auto Infinite Scroll differs from Jetpack Infinite Scroll

All plugins from Super Speedy Plugins share a SQL-first architecture and an uncompromising focus on performance — and Auto Infinite Scroll is no different. Here is what sets it apart:

Auto Infinite Scroll turns paged WooCommerce and blog archives into smooth, continuous scrolling, and it sets itself up automatically on 95%+ of themes. It also does the one thing most infinite-scroll plugins get wrong: it remembers the archive in the browser, so a shopper who opens a product and clicks the back button lands at their exact scroll position instantly, with no reload.

Jetpack Infinite Scroll is bundled within the full Jetpack framework, meaning you carry the weight of the entire plugin to use one feature — adding overhead to every page load. Auto Infinite Scroll is a dedicated, lightweight plugin focused entirely on infinite scroll and load-more functionality, with AJAX-driven loading that uses direct SQL queries rather than full WordPress query cycles, keeping the impact on your server minimal.

How to choose between Jetpack Infinite Scroll and Auto Infinite Scroll?

If Jetpack Infinite Scroll is causing plugin bloat or you simply want a faster, more focused solution, Auto Infinite Scroll is a direct replacement without the framework overhead. Built on a SQL-first architecture and tested against one-million-product catalogues, with a free trial available.

I usually don't bother writing reviews but I see a few reviews here that are complaining about support and they are kinda old which I think shows the wrong impression of how it is. I have a completely different experience with support and I have never before had a chance to talk to a dev directly on Discord and that bugs and issues were resolved almost immediately. I'm using Breakdance builder which is fairly new so there were few fixes needed and now everything works fine. Also, all my suggestions for improvements were implemented … Support is 10/10!!

Excellent plugin.Integrates well with most themes with minor modifications. Massively speeds up the archive browsing process and removes uncached paginated pages (improving pagespeed scores).

Was having a problem with a competitor plugin so decided to purchase this. Worked instantly with my configuration, literally did nothing and it worked. That's how good it was. Highly recommend it, plugin developers are extremely knowledgeable and on top of everything they do.

What's new in Auto Infinite Scroll?

1.64 (20th May 2026)

  • Updated the Super Speedy Settings page: added a "Recheck Licenses" button above the licence table so customers have a clear way to refresh licence status after a renewal or upgrade without scrolling down to the licence-key field. The button is disabled until a licence key is entered/saved and re-enables as you type.
  • The Recheck flow now also force-bypasses the auth-server's own 1-hour licence cache (via a `force=1` flag on the `wpiapi/check_product_key` call), so renewals/upgrades that completed less than an hour before a recheck no longer show as expired/exceeded. Normal admin page loads continue to use both caches as before — only an explicit Recheck click bypasses them. (Lives in the `super-speedy-settings` submodule, so the change propagates to every Super Speedy plugin.)

1.63 (13th March 2026)

  • Fixed Woo Variation Swatches not initializing on products restored via magic back button history
  • Fire third-party plugin re-initialization events after restoring archive from local storage

1.62 (18th November 2025)

  • Added full namespacing for plugin update checker to prevent conflicts with 3rd party plugins
